Ladislao Luna
Associate Professor // Senior lecturer
Director of the research group “Economic Management for the Sustainable Development of Primary Sector” since 1997. Graduated in Economics and Business Studies in the University of Oviedo in 1983, he became a PhD in the same university in 1993. He is Associate Professor in the Business Administration Department in the University of Cantabria since 1995. He has over 15 year experience in seafood markets in Spain and Latin America. Participating as coordinator in ministerial research projects and experts teams, he has authored many works presented in reputed national and international industrial journals and scientific conferences. He has also taken part in the Globefish Research Program (FAO)

Antonio Martín
Asocciate Professor // Senior lecturer
Expert in Human Resources and Management Skills. He has been part of the University of Cantabria since 1983, becoming PhD in Economics and Business Studies in 1992. He is Associate Professor of Business Organization in the Business Administration Department in the University of Cantabria since 1994. He is the Internship Coordinator of that Faculty since 2014. He has been one of the promoters of the implementation of the Official Master in Business Administration (MBA) in the University of Cantabria, of which he has been coordinator in the first six promotions (2007-2008 to 2012-2013) and of which he continues as a lecturer. Now he is the director of the Master in Human Resources Management: the value of people, in the University of Cantabria.

Angel Cobo
Full Professor // Professor
PhD in Mathematical Sciences and Associate Professor since 1993, he became Full Professor in the area of Applied Mathematics in 2019. He is the University Ombudsman of the University of Cantabria since 2013. He has extensive experience in developing computer applications and he is the author of several books on Programming. He has lectured postgraduate courses at more than a dozen Latin American universities. He also has extensive experience in developing e-learning environments and automated analysis of user activities in these environments. As part of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computing Sciences, he assists the team in big data processing and modelling.

Pepe Polanco
Associate Professor // Senior lecturer
Expert in Marketing Research, he has been lecturing in the University of Cantabria since 1995, becoming PhD in Economics and Business Studies in 2001. He has over 15 years experience in seafood markets in Spain and worldwide, having contributed in several funded research projects in fisheries economics. He has been consultant at Globefish Research Programs and at the Fisheries and the Products, Trade and Marketing Branch (FIPMO) in FAO, among other research projects and expert meetings on value chain analysis and seafood consumption. He is a regular participant at STECF economic meetings (aquaculture & processing). Program chair in several WAS conferences in the last years.

J.Luis Fernández
Associate Professor // Senior lecturer
Economist and associate professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Cantabria, he is PhD in Business Administration from the University of Cantabria sin 2009. He has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) and a Master degree in Marketing and Commercial Management from ESIC. His research lines are mainly two: a line of applied research related to the economic management and sustainability of the primary sector, and a second line, more academic, focused on the economic analysis of firms and industries, as well as the study of corporate social responsibility.

Elisa Baraibar
Associate Professor // Lecturer
Lecturer teaching (both in Spanish and in English) in the fields of business administration, entrepreneurship, international business and simulation in business administration. Her research interests focus on corporate transparency, corporate social responsibility, reputation and corporate governance. She has taken part in several national and international conferences and held research stays at Institut für Management belonging to Humboldt Universität (Berlin), at Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China) and at La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia). Now she coordinates the Official MBA in the University of Cantabria. She has over 8 years of experience in seafood markets in Spain and Latin America.

Ignacio Llorente
Associate Professor // Lecturer
Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration in the University of Cantabria, becoming an awarded PhD in 2013 (by the International Association of Aquaculture Economics and Management and by the Research Awards “Juan María Pares”). He lectures in the fields of business administration and entrepreneurship. He is specialist in Environmental Impact Assessment by the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (2010). He has over 10 years of experience in seafood markets in Spain and worldwide. As an expert in economic management of fisheries and aquaculture, he has participated in the Globefish Research Program (FAO) and in national and international research projects and author of works published in reputed international scientific and industrial journals. Participation in the expert meetings of the STECF. |

María Odriozola
Assistant Professor // Lecturer
She is a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration in the University of Cantabria, becoming a PhD in 2015 (awarded in 2016 by the CSR Santander Chair in the University of Málaga). She lectures in the area of human resources management (human resources management – HRM-, management skills, new management models) and entrepreneurship. Her main lines of research are focused on aspects related to Corporate and Labour Social Responsibility, labour practices, corporate reputation, and the dissemination of social information. Her research has been part of several papers, book chapter or proceedings at national and international conferences. Now she is the academic coordinator of the Master in Human Resources: the value of people. She has over 8 years of experience in seafood markets in Spain and Latin America.

Manuel Luna
Graduate Teaching Assistant // Predoctoral Fellow
He is a researcher expert in Data Science and PhD student in the Department of Business Administration in the University of Cantabria, lecturing in the area of business administration and entrepreneurship. He is a data scientist, having completed a Master’s Degree in Banking and Financial Markets (University of Cantabria and Santander) in 2015, a Master’s Degree in Strategic Planning (University Rey Juan Carlos and ESERP Business School) in 2016 and a Master’s Degree in Data Science and Big Data (AFI) in 2017.
